“The faculty & staff Advent Retreat is gem of a program – a wonderful way to bring peace,
quiet and reflection to our busy lives during the Advent season. I especially enjoyed this
year’s retreat led by Fr. Joe Narog, O.S.A., “Journeying Through Advent With Augustine.” Fr.
Joe combined scripture readings, excerpts from St. Augustine’s sermons, music, and
personal reflection time to help remind us of whom we are called to be as followers of
Christ. I appreciated the “no pressure to share” approach - participants could talk as much
or as little as they wished. Every year I think of many different reasons why I am too busy to
attend but when I do, I am not disappointed!”

~Meghan Mogan, Clay Center Advisor Villanova School of Business

·       “I found the Faculty/Staff Advent Retreat to be a terrific opportunity for prayer and reflection during an otherwise busy time of the semester. I thoroughly enjoyed the organization and facilitation of this year’s retreat. I highly recommend it for other colleagues on campus.”
~Ralph Gigliotti, Assistant Director of Student Development for Leadership Programs

·         "The Advent Retreat was a spectacular Journey with Augustine from the opening prayer – readings – psalms – hymns - discussion by Fr. Joseph Narog, OSA - it is such a beautiful story about Mary – her quiet husband, Joseph and John the Baptist – preparing the Way for the Lord – lunch was a wonderful conclusion to a very special and prayerful morning."
             ~M.J. Magee, Campus Ministry

·       "I thoroughly enjoyed the retreat. It provided a prayerful space to step away from my desk and office and to enter into the Advent season more deeply. I especially enjoyed hearing the insights other participants offered."
